I have to say that I have never been so happy to be wearing pants. As much as I'm loving the sunshine and warm weather in SoCal, I'm at this point where it's basically mid October and I don't understand why I'm still wearing shorts! The weather cooled down a little last week (it even rained one day) so I got to bust out what I like to call my dressy sweats. The most comfortable pants that I've ever owned and that I can still wear out in public. But my pant joy will be short lived, it's supposed to be 28 degrees tomorrow. I know, I know, my life is really rough. Seriously though, you really don't want to be wearing pants on this campus on a hot day. You have to walk uphill to get everywhere. It's like that stereotype of your grandpa saying that he walked to school uphill both ways in 5 feet of snow (minus the snow.) My apartment is at the top of a hill, and my classes are also at the top of a hill. By the time you arrive anywhere you're out of breath and you want to punch everyone. Well, maybe that's just me.
On a side note if you have never been to Trader Joe's and you get the opportunity, DO IT! I think this has been my favorite part about living in America. So many organic foods for so cheap!! I bought organic vegan pumpkin toaster strudels to celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend for 1.99. Just sayin.
